What to Expect
First visit
You will be asked to fill out a simple form on arrival prior to your consultation, detailing your current problem and associated pain. Your initial consultation with your Chiropractor will then involve a detailed case history of the information you have provided to try and identify the source and origin of your problem. A physical examination will then be performed involving some or all of the following:
- Postural assessment
- Palpation of the spine and the surrounding muscles
- Range of motion assessment
- Neurological assessment
- Orthopaedic tests
- X-ray’s may also be taken if required
Your Chiropractor will then develop a working diagnosis for your problem(s) and will discuss the treatment and techniques he feels are most suitable and the most appropriate course of action to achieve the best results.
By the time many patients attend the clinic they have normally had their problems for some time. It is important to remain consistent with your treatment because it is working to retrain and strengthen the muscles and ligaments that support the spine – put simply, each visit builds on the one before and consistency of treatment always leads to the best result.
If you have any questions or concerns your Chiropractor will discuss these with you to help build your understanding and knowledge to put your mind at ease.
What our clients say...
"Having tried other chiropractic clinics in the region, at great expense and without any improvement for my pelvic discomfort and pain, I was recommended to see John. From the very first consultation, his diagnosis, concern for the patient, sense of humour and ultimate treatment were something to behold. Whilst not being cured completely there has been a 99.9% improvement in my condition. Highly recommended."
